Description
The Dartmoor Hornet 27.5 is a true all-rounder, despite being a hardtail: from flowing natural trails, to challenging enduro trails, rugged freeride descents and high speed downhill tracks. With 150 mm of travel and 27.5 inch wheels, the Hornet 27.5 offers grip and control without end, and at an affordable entry-level price.
The Dartmoor Hornet 27.5 comes with a modern progressive geometry. The flat 64° steering angle, longer reach and low bottom bracket, combined with the 150 mm travel of the Rock Shox 35 Silver Coil suspension fork, make it a weapon for challenging enduro trails. Depending on your personal preferences and range of use, the Hornet can be tuned with a suspension fork from 140 mm to even 180 mm with double bridge. Even high speed downhill runs and big jumps are child's play for the Hornet 27.5.
The Microshift Advent 9-speed drivetrain was rated by Pinkbike.com as one of the best enduro/trail shifters in terms of price/performance. The 11-42 cassette offers a wide range, even for longer pedaling passages and touring without a shuttle. The Shimano MT-410 brake decelerates reliably in combination with 200 or 180 mm Shimano brake discs.
The Dartmoor wheels in 27.5 inch are easy to accelerate, the 2.8" wide plus tires give plenty of traction and comfort. There's even room for a bottle cage in the frame triangle.
Externally routed cables and lines, the bolted BSA bottom bracket and Postmount brake mount makes the Hornet easy to maintain and compatible with all common attachments.
In the Dartmoor Hornet 27.5, beginners will find a hardtail enduro that will help them make quick progress on enduro trails and drops. But experts will also be able to let off steam on jumps and downhill tracks, because the Dartmoor Hornet 27.5 knows no limits.
