Easton's new chainring combination is a refinement of their proven road dual chainrings, where shifting was described as ''crisp and effortless'' by BikeRadar's Thomas McDaniel. As product managers searched for better chainring options, the benefits of the super-compact version became clear to them: options in 47/32 for the gravel market, 46/36 a proven cyclocross gear ratio, and a 46/30 wideband Adventure combo for long days in the saddle. For smooth shifting transitions, Easton has optimized chainring sizes for the application and reduced material overlap - these direct mount Gravel and CX chainrings save up to 45 grams to allow for more reach at the same time.
