Why is an Eovolt e-bike the perfect bike for the city? Here are a few really good reasons:

You live in the city and need to get from your apartment to work, shop a few things on the way, and after work you want to meet up with colleagues at the pub. And none of these places have a parking lot... You can see where this is going: If you need to park, a bike is really convenient, because it doesn't need an official parking space.
Sometimes the distance is too far and you want to take the bus or the subway to get home. What do you do with your bike then? If you buy an Eovolt folding electric bike, just fold it up and take it on the subway like a suitcase or stroller.
A little exercise is good for everyone, but your arriving all sweaty at the office every day is not something all co-workers appreciate. That's where an e-bike can help! Why is a folding bike (for example one from Eovolt) particularly well suited for the city?

You can of course also ride a folding e-bike in the countryside. But here the conditions are somewhat different. Lack of space is usually less of a problem, but the distances you have to cover every day are much longer. Under these circumstances, a folding e-bike can't really show its advantages quite as much. Long distances can be covered faster on 28 or 29 inch tires than on 20 inch tires, after all. In small towns or villages Eovolt folding bikes are loved best by travelers and campers (more on this below)!

Eovolt folding bikes offer small dimensions and maximum comfort

Isn't a folding bike far too small to be comfortable on longer rides? That depends entirely on the geometry. Even a compact bike with a small frame and 20 inch tires can be very comfortable, it just depends on where the manufacturer places the saddle, the handlebars and the bottom bracket. If those three are in the perfect spot (like with Eovolt bikes), you’ll be fine even for a longer time. Then you can sit quite upright in the saddle and pedal efficiently. By the way, on compact Eovolt models like Afternoon or Morning, the seatpost and handlebars are easily adjustable. This allows adults of different heights to adjust the bike to their physique and ride comfortably.

You don't even have to sacrifice enjoying the comfort of a suspension fork. Especially if you live in a city with lots of cobblestones, or potholes are quite common on your daily paths, you should treat yourself to a little extra dampening! An Eovolt Afternoon has a suspension fork with 50mm of travel, it provides comfortable suspension and helps you keep control over your bike even on bad surfaces.

By the way, an Eovolt folding bike not only offers a lot of comfort while you're in the saddle, it's also quite easy to handle when you’re not riding it. When the bike is folded, the two wheels are parallel to each other, so you can push it without wobbling or tipping, just like a suitcase.

An Eovolt "Afternoon" folding e-bike shows what modern mobility can be like

The seat post of Eovolt's "Afternoon" model contains a Samsung 380 Wh battery. It runs for approx. 70km of range which is quite sufficient for most everyday routes. That way, the battery is absolutely invisible and well protected. To charge, you open the saddle clamp, remove the seat tube and the saddle and plug in your battery.

A lightweight rear-wheel engine with 250 W lets you move swiftly on the compact bike’s 20-inch tires. You also get a Shimano group set with 7 speeds, which allows you to adjust your bike to inclines and rough surfaces. Good brakes are especially important in heavy city traffic, so an Eovolt Afternoon bike has hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm disc diameter that work reliably even in cold or wet conditions.

To make sure you cruise through the city safely, you need some safety equipment (and it is also required by traffic regulations). That’s why Eovolt mounts a front spotlight and a red taillight that are powered by the e-bike's battery, which means you never have to worry about your lighting. The tires’ sidewalls have reflective stickers that make sure you are also easily visible from the sides. The bikes also come with mudguards that will keep you dry in the rain.

By the way, since the battery – a valuable piece of e-bike technology – is hidden in the seatpost, it is recommended to use a saddle clamp with a lock for Eovolt bikes that prevents your seatpost from being stolen!

And on a particularly small folding bike, panniers or a bike basket are perhaps not recommendalbe, because they would get in the way of the folding mechanism. But a bike backpack is certainly a great alternative to classic bike bags! A handlebar bag will also work, at least as long as your Eovolo is assembled. And even if a lockable seat clamp protects the saddle, seat post and thus the battery from thieves, a good bike lock is always a good thing to have in the city.
