Ergon GP2-S
Description
The wing grip original in the version with two-finger bar end - perfect for occasional re-gripping and for mountain passages. Our GP series is the world reference in wing grips. From the particularly assembly-friendly clamping mechanism (Pat. pend) of the GP2 benefit especially laymen. Released for carbon handlebars.
Nervous
When cycling, the hands support a large part of the upper body weight on the handlebars. This creates high pressure on the small grip surface. Frequently pinched off thereby the very sensitive Ulnarnerv, which runs in the range of the small finger ball close below the skin surface. This can lead to feelings of numbness. The wing grip increases the contact area of the hand, distributes the pressure over a larger area and prevents discomfort.
No kink - no tingling
The kinking of the wrist compresses nerves, tendons and blood vessels. Consequence: the carpal tunnel narrows and can damage the median nerve. Longer bike rides with increasing fatigue make it difficult to maintain a healthy posture. The wing design of our GP grips supports the hand, automatically brings the wrist into an ergonomically ideal position, prevents numbness, tingling, and pain.
Thick and thin for best control
To ensure that you always have your bike under control, your hand should not completely enclose the handle. Ergon offers many grips optionally in the sizes "Small" and "Large". The difference refers to the grip width. That is, a larger hand has a better form fit on a thicker grip, while for a smaller hand a thinner grip fits best. For hand (shoe) sizes 6.5-8.5 we recommend the Small size, and for 8.5-10.5 we recommend the Large size.
EXCLUSIVE QUALITY
Rubber grip made in Germany
The material of the Ergon grips meets the highest quality standards, is TÜV-certified, durable and unique in the world, with only medical white oil as a plasticizer. The UV-stable Longlife rubber compound is developed and manufactured exclusively for Ergon in Germany. Ergonomics, product design and engineering - all made in Germany.
NUMBER SAFE
Always clamps - and that's a good thing
The GP Series clamping system is extremely secure and easy to install. Each handle is fixed with only one screw and is thus reliably protected against twisting. Also important: Ergon aluminum clamps are forged and not pressed. Additional grip positions allow you the GP2 and other GP models with our super-light, flexible bar ends made of glass fiber composite with grippy rubber inlays.
HANDSET
It's all in the mix
Minimal friction - maximum comfort: the super-soft, UV-stable Longlife rubber compound developed by Ergon offers reliable grip when cycling with its texture fields, sits comfortably in the hand and noticeably increases riding pleasure.
AlWAYS THE PERFECT DRIVE
Fits any type of gear
Some models in our GP series, including the GP2, come in special versions for different circuits. For a regular circuit, both grips are the same length. The version for Gripshift® or Dual-Twist-Shift twist shifters includes two shortened grips, for Rohloff®, Nexus® and Single-Twist-Shift only the grip on the right side is shortened.
