Ergon GPI-L Evo BioCork
Description
The original for touring and fitness riders - in the natural BioKork variant with the best customer feedback. Our GP series has been the worldwide reference in wing grips for more than a decade, awarded with countless test wins and awards. Constantly improved to this day. Prevents numb fingers, aching hands and forearms.
BIOLOGICALLY ADOPTED
.40 percent cork
Ergonomics, function, haptics and sustainability: this variant of the successful GP1 model combines all of these and is therefore particularly popular. The handle is made of 40 percent cork. The material comes from organic farming in Portugal and meets strict ecological guidelines. In the inner support, 20 percent of the plastic is replaced by grass fibers.
ECOLOGICALLY SUSTAINABLE
.Ergon initiative "GreenLab"
Sustainability is high on Ergon's agenda. Under the "GreenLab" initiative, packaging is developed from recycled materials, and entire products such as the GP1 BioKork handle are made from particularly environmentally friendly materials. All parts of the handle are consistently manufactured in an ecologically sustainable manner.
NUMBER SAFE
.Always clamps - and that's a good thing
.The GP Series clamping system is extremely secure and easy to install. Each handle is fixed with only one screw and is thus reliably protected against twisting. Also important: Ergon aluminum clamps are forged and not pressed. Additional grip positions allow you the GP models with our super-light, flexible bar ends made of glass fiber composite with grippy rubber inlays.
.HAND SHIMMERS
.It's all in the mix
.Minimal friction - maximum comfort: the super-soft, UV-stable Longlife rubber compound developed by Ergon offers reliable grip when cycling with its texture fields, sits comfortably in the hand and noticeably increases riding pleasure.
Twist grip SPECIAL
.Fits any type of gear
.Some models in our GP series come in special versions for different circuits. For a regular circuit, both grips are the same length. The version for Gripshift® or Dual-Twist-Shift twist shifters includes two shortened grips, for Rohloff®, Nexus® and Single-Twist-Shift only the grip on the right side is shortened
.
Pleasant on the nerves
.When cycling, the hands support a large portion of the upper body weight on the handlebars. This creates high pressure on the small grip surface. Frequently pinched off thereby the very sensitive Ulnarnerv, which runs in the range of the small finger ball close below the skin surface. This can lead to feelings of numbness. The wing grip increases the contact area of the hand, distributes the pressure over a larger area and prevents discomfort.
No kink - no tingling
.The kinking of the wrist compresses nerves, tendons and blood vessels. Consequence: the carpal tunnel narrows and can damage the median nerve. Longer bike rides with increasing fatigue make it difficult to maintain a healthy posture. The wing design of our GP grips supports the hand, automatically brings the wrist into an ergonomically ideal position, prevents numbness, tingling, and pain.
Thick and thin for best control
.To ensure that you always have your bike under control, your hand should not completely enclose the handle. Ergon offers many grips optionally in the sizes "Small" and "Large". The difference refers to the grip width. This means that a larger hand has a better form fit on a thicker grip, while a thinner grip fits best for a smaller hand. For hand (shoe) sizes 6.5-8.5 we recommend the Small size, and for 8.5-10.5 we recommend the Large size.
