The FIZIK BEAT also features a completely new outsole: SPD-compatible, with a sleek design that incorporates a two-bolt cleat guide. With a stiffness index of 4, the SPD outsole offers both comfort and good pedaling efficiency - responsive for a burst of speed, but also forgiving enough to forget the bumps of rougher roads. The new SPD outsole is covered with a grippy TPU tread to improve off-bike mobility and stability when pedaling.
