Hope Bottom bracket PF41 - 30 mm - 104.5/107 mm
Description
We at Hope believe that 30 mm crank axles are the way of the future. One of the limited disadvantages is when fitting into a Ø41 mm bottom bracket shell, which is designed for a 24 mm axle. Previously, our solution consisted of two bearings pressed directly into the housing. They were able to handle the loads, but the lack of an inner and outer seal shortened their life more than we wanted.
We now have a new solution. A specially designed and Swiss-made bearing that allows us to offer a complete bottom bracket assembly with a fully sealed center tube and external end shields.
These bearings are also more tolerant of misalignment to compensate for manufacturing tolerances in the bottom bracket shell of the frame. All this makes for a more durable and long-lasting bottom bracket. Long live the 30 mm crank axles!
