Among other things, the new design allows for better cooling and is compatible with many other brake manufacturers due to the many diameters. These floating brake discs are popular with performance-oriented riders and those who are looking for something special. The stainless steel discs are riveted to an aluminum spider. This allows for minimal weight and allows the disc to expand and contract with temperature changes.
