Description
The new Tech 4 E4 disc brake is based on over 25 years of experience in the development and manufacture of hydraulic brake systems. The Tech 4 uses an all-new internal seal for reduced friction and the pivot rotates on roller bearings, allowing the spring rate to be reduced. The lower spring rate in turn results in lighter leverage, reducing rider fatigue and maintaining our legendary feel and modulation. The updated E4 caliper uses hybrid stainless steel pistons with a phenolic insert that allows for smoother movement and less maintenance, while being able to handle high temperatures without heat transfer during extreme use.
The shape of the lever has been redesigned to provide a more ergonomic shape, aligned to provide the best mechanical advantage when braking.
