Description
The new Tech 4 E4 disc brake is based on over 25 years of experience in the design and manufacture of hydraulic braking systems. The Tech 4 uses an all-new internal seal for lower friction and the pivot spins on roller bearings, which allows the spring rate to be reduced. The lower spring rate, in turn, results in lighter leverage, reducing rider fatigue and retaining our legendary feel and modulation. The updated E4 caliper uses hybrid stainless steel pistons with a phenolic insert that allows for smoother movement and less maintenance, while being able to handle high temperatures without heat transfer during extreme use.
The shape of the lever has been revised to provide a more ergonomic shape, aligned to provide the best mechanical advantage when braking.
