Description
The Ardent Race fills the gap between the Ikon and the Ardent, between fast XC tire and trail tire. Its profile is medium high, the center lugs are tight, but leave enough space for good self-cleaning and are beveled for lower rolling resistance. The side lugs are angled and offset and bite into the ground when cornering. This makes the Ardent Race the right tire for all-round use and on the trails.
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. Thus, you get better traction and the rolling resistance decreases. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures also decreases. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. Thus, the tubeless mounting is successful with all rims with standard dimensions already at the first inflation and with little liquid. Also "normal" Maxxis MTB tires can be mounted like tires from other manufacturers Tubeless with sealant, because the carcass fabrics are very dense. Officially released for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by Maxxis are but only the new Maxxis TR models.
The Exo Protection, consisting of extremely cut and abrasion resistant material, protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight and very flexible. This keeps the performance of the tires unchanged convincingly good.
The 3C mixture for XC and some AllMountain / Enduro tires is designed by the hard base and the fast mixture in tread center on lowest rolling resistance, but offers with the grippy mixture on the sides to it still superior grip in curves, even in wet conditions. Typical Maxxis is also the very long life.
