Description
The Assegai from Maxxis is Greg Minnaar's signature tire. The Assegai has the exact essence of Greg's 30 years of racing experience and Maxxis' expert knowledge from over 50 years of tire production to get you faster, farther on your bike and always give you optimal control.
3C Maxx Grip (DH): Superior racing performance from three different rubber compounds in different positions in the tread. The base layer provides low rolling resistance and satability of the tread lugs. The compound in the center of the tread provides the best grip on any surface, while the extremely cushioned compound on the shoulder lugs provides the best possible cornering grip.
EXO+ Protection: The new EXO+ construction combines the two best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer surrounds the entire tire from bead to bead, while the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Together this gives EXO+ with the following advantages: 27% better puncture protection on the tread, 51% more stable sidewall, 28% more puncture protection compared to the proven stable EXO carcass.
