Maxxis Highroller II Folding Tire - 29x2.30 Inch - Dual Compound - TR Exo

Description

The Highroller II tire from Maxxis is the consistent and logical development of a legend - the Highroller. It is more modern and aggressive, the open tread design claws deeper into the ground, and yet the rolling resistance is lower. Self-cleaning is even better and braking traction also benefits from the new design. Precise tuning of lug positions results in a very predictable ride with seamless transitions when turning into corners, and tremendous grip in the process.

Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there's no tube, the risk of punctures goes down, too. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This makes tubeless mounting on all rims with standard dimensions already successful with the first inflation and with little liquid. Also "normal" Maxxis MTB tires can be mounted tubeless with sealant like tires of other manufacturers, because the carcass fabrics are very dense. Officially approved for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by Maxxis are but only the new Maxxis TR models.

The Exo Protection, consisting of extremely cut and abrasion resistant material, protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains unchanged convincingly good. With the Dual Compound mixture, two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned according to the desired properties of the tires.

"Guter Allrounder mit etwas geringerer Breite"

Der Reifen ist ein sehr guter Allrounder und besonders in dieser Gummimischung gut für kalte Bedingungen. Die weicheren 3C Compounds verhärten hier schnell mal. Leider ist der Reifen etwas auf der schmalen seite aber das ist generell bei Maxxis der Fall nach meiner Erfahrung.
