The MPC Maxxis Performance Compound is Maxxis' all-around compound. This rubber compound also benefits from the development expertise of the largest bicycle tire manufacturer in the world and convinces in daily use with very long life, grip and maximum reliability. SilkShield provides Silkworm protection all around, from rim edge to rim edge, preventing cuts and other defects on the tire sidewalls and under the tread. In addition, the Ikon e-MTB is e-bike ready up to 50Km/h. All Maxxis tires can be ridden on pedelecs / e-bikes with an assistance up to 25 km/h. Fast pedelecs with an assistance up to 45 km/h must be equipped with tires that are manufactured according to the standard and bear the corresponding information on the tire. Maxxis models with the ebike logo meet and exceed the requirements for tires for fast e-bikes and those of the standards.
