Description
The Overdrive Excel clincher tire from Maxxis definitely has everything you expect from a modern city and trekking tire - and in addition he surprises with innovative extras. The high-quality Maxxis carcass with 60 threads per inch or 23 threads per cm is protected not only under the tread as usual, but also all around the sidewalls with Maxxis innovative SilkShield. The high-quality, very durable Maxxis rubber compound in the center of the tread, which also convinces with low rolling resistance, is complemented on the sides by a grippy compound that provides the best cornering grip even in wet conditions. Reflective stripes on the sidewalls increase safety. With its high stability at low weight, the Overdrive Excel is also very well suited for pedelecs/e-bikes with support up to 25 km/h.
With the dual compound mixture, two different rubber mixtures are processed into a tread strip. The arrangement of the mixtures is planned according to the desired properties of the tires.
SilkShield provides Silkworm protection all around, from rim edge to rim edge, preventing cuts and other defects on the tire sidewalls and under the tread.
