Maxxis Rekon Race clincher tire - 29x2.25 inch - MPC - EXO
Description
The Rekon Race is the latest XC tire from Maxxis to win a World Cup race. The Rekon Race managed to do this as a prototype almost a year before the series start with Nino Schurter in Mont Saint-Anne. This fast semi-slick tire has a similar profile to its big brother, the all-round Rekon tire, but with smaller and lower lugs. It's optimal as a rear tire along with a higher profile tire like the Rekon or Ikon on the front. Or front and rear for short races and light fast race courses.
The EXO Protection, consisting of extremely cut and abrasion resistant material, protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains unchanged convincingly good.
MPC: The Maxxis Performance Compound is the all-round compound. This rubber compound also benefits from the development expertise of the largest bicycle tire manufacturer in the world and convinces in daily use with very long life, grip and maximum reliability.
