Description
The Rekon Race is the youngest XC tire from Maxxis, which has already won a World Cup race. The Rekon Race succeeded as a prototype almost a year before the series start with Nino Schurter in Mont Saint-Anne. This fast semi slick tire has a similar profile to its big brother, the all-round tire Rekon, but with smaller and lower lugs. It is optimal as a rear tire along with a higher profile tire like the Rekon or Ikon on the front. Or front and rear for short races and light fast race courses.
The EXO Protection, consisting of extremely cut and abrasion resistant material, protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight and very flexible. Thus, the performance of the tires remains unchanged convincingly good.
With the dual compound mixture, two different rubber mixtures are processed into a tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned according to the desired properties of the tires.
