Orbea OCCAM H20 LT Orange - Black (Gloss)
Description
Are you that mountain biker?
Your buddies are inwardly preparing for hot biking adventures when you invite them on a "quiet tour"? Your favorite laps always take you along paths that can't be found on any map? Your tours start with the first rays of the sun and end with a shared beer after sunset? Your bike must do everything and always be a faithful companion? Are you exactly the type of mountain biker we are talking about here? Then the Orbea Occam is the perfect bike for you!
150-mm travel
Modern trail bikes are used for impressively versatile riding. Some riders climb climbs that are thousands of feet long, while others do lap after lap in bike parks, with endless jumps.
Trail geometry
Flat steering head angle - More stability
Low crank - More natural cornering
Longer cockpit - More freedom of movement with more balance
Longer center distance - Stability at high speeds
Higher saddle angle - More appropriate pedaling position
Shorter seat tube - For long dropper posts
Carbon OMR
Orbea Monocoque Race (OMR) frames are the only ones that combine high-modulus fibers with high-strength fibers. The prepreg sheets of pre-impregnated carbon are cut to size with lasers to minimize excess before a lengthy process of preforming to achieve optimum compression with the least amount of material. Wrinkles and voids are avoided thanks to the mold made entirely of expanded polystyrene (EPS).
Asymmetrical - strength
The right-sided support solidifies and stiffens an area subject to high stress. Rather than using a less effective "shock tunnel," the Occam's structure diverts the shock to the left side of the frame, allowing the asymmetrical support to take a more direct path. This straight line, following the shock structure, is the most effective way to neutralize suspension forces in the front triangle.
Asymmetrical - ergonomics and balance
The asymmetrical offset design brings unique advantages beyond stiffness and weight savings. The shock is mounted in such a way that its adjustments are surprisingly easy to reach, and the small dimensions leave enough room for an easily accessible water bottle
