Stuby grips - The alternative to the new Innerbarends®
The 711 Stuby short is for twist shifters with a short right side.
The perfect fit, for a bicycle grip, is critical for comfort and grip security. The grip width is the measurement from the tip of your middle finger to the crook of your thumb. Because this is exactly how you enclose the grip. Grip sizes vary in diameter, length, and shape.
While "Innerbarends®" bring the hands inwards and thus improve aerodynamics on long and straight stretches, the classic barends of the "Stuby" grips have the advantage that when going uphill, more power can be applied to the pedal by pulling on the outside of the handlebars.
This is just as true in the cradle as it is in a seated position. Still, even on long and straight stretches, the strain on the hand, as well as the shoulder and neck, can be altered and reduced by gripping the bar ends.
