Trickstuff Universal Bleedblock Le Block
Description
The new Trickstuff Universal Bleedblock ''Le Block'' is now compatible with all popular brake disc brakes.
A bleedblock is a simple, small cuboid that is inserted into the pad well of the caliper in place of the brake pads when filling or bleeding a hydraulic disc brake. This prevents brake fluid or oil from accidentally spilling onto the pads during bleeding, allowing the pistons to pump their way out of the caliper due to the high brake fluid pressure.
The conventional bleedblocks made of plastic are far too soft to reliably judge at the end of the bleeding process whether the brake is really properly bled and has a perfect pressure point. Testing with pads and disc installed is also less informative because pads are surprisingly soft and compressible.
Only when the slave pistons are pressing directly, immediately, on a very hard, flat block can you really judge if the brake is free of air.
The block is 10 millimeters thick, the thickness of two pads plus a disc. So even at the workbench, it's possible to observe exactly how evenly and how far the pistons extend in the operating condition.
