Vittoria Highlights

Things to know about Vittoria tires

Vittoria is all about tires - the company from Brembate, Italy, mainly produces tires and tubes. Since 1952, the company has been working on developing the optimal tires for a wide range of bicycle types and all kinds of conditions, and in recent years, sustainability has also become an increasingly important issue in their production. About 1000 employees work at various locations around the world in search of the perfect connection between your wheel and the surface.

The Ride Ahead

is the company motto. An incentive – not to lean back and enjoy your success, but to always strive for more. At the same time it’s a promise to yourself to hit the road or slope again soon! The “hit it” part is taken very seriously, by the way. Even though you’ll find tires for city bikes and leisure bikes in the range, those run in the “road” category. High-performance equipment obviously is a vital part of Vittoria’s day-to-day business.

Vittoria bicycle tires for all disciplines

As a “bicycle-only” manufacturer of tires and tubes, Vittoria's expertise is undisputed. You can buy tires for city bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes, cyclocross and MTBs, and of course there are also some tires with e-bike approval in the range. You’ll also find inner tubes and everything you need for a tubeless setup. There is a lot to choose from, so we can't introduce every single model to you. But we would like to briefly explain the properties of one or two products. That way, you'll know which tire to buy for your purposes.

Which Vittoria tires should you buy for your road bike?

Many, many miles of training or top speed when racing - road bike tires have to fulfill different purposes, which is why, for your road bike, you can buy Vittoria’s tires with the right properties for speedy training laps and competitions.

  • Above all, road training tires have to collect miles without wearing down or killing all the fun with a puncture. Rubino PRO is a good training companion.
  • A mix of durability and speed not only ensures good training conditions, it is also great for endurance bikers and touring cyclists who like to spend long hours on their road bike. Zaffiro are Vittoria's affordable tires for training and endurance.
  • In contrast, racing hoops have to be able to do one thing above all: Take off and fly. Or at least as good as... Low rolling resistance means top speed. Of course, the puncture statistics also have to be taken into account here, because you don't want to risk a flat out there on the road. An optimum ratio of low weight, puncture protection and a fast-as-lightning rubber compound is important here, Corsa Speed is Vittoria's perfect road racing tire.
  • Racing in the rain? Not everyone’s cup of tea, and not every road bike tire can handle it. Corsa PRO Control is the exception, it is Vittoria's answer to a lousy weather forecast on racing day!
  • But you can not only buy the perfect Vittoria tires for training and racing, there are also versions for time trial and triathlon.

Vittoria tires for MTB

The demands that mountain bikers have regarding their tires are as diverse as the bikes, the athletes and the routes. That's why you can buy so many different MTB tires.

Vittoria supplies the right setup for

  • loose surfaces
  • technical terrain
  • mixed terrain and different weather conditions
  • dry ground
  • enduro
  • rainy weather
  • tubeless ready
  • racing

Explaining the individual models would blow the proportions of this buyer’s guide. Our recommendation is to simply browse through the article descriptions until you find the right MTB tire for you!

How to order the right Vittoria gravel tires

Something out of the ordinary ... Terreno Dry Gravel’s tread pattern surely is an eye catcher. And it works well too, especially on the usual gravel surface and in dry conditions. The "fish scale pattern" ensures good grip in bends and during braking maneuvers, and you can look forward to good rolling characteristics and decent acceleration too. And your bike will look great as well! Terreno is also available in a Wet Gravel version. You guessed it, Vittoria has developed this tire for the same terrain, but on rainy days. Those tires give your bike optimum traction in wet and muddy conditions. But Vitoria wouldn't be one of the big players in the tire business if that was all there was to their gravel tires. There are "adventure-oriented" gravel tires, but there’s also "speed-oriented" rubber. And of course tires that offer a solid mix of all kinds of purposes. Also always important (and, of course, included): good puncture protection.

Vittoria tire inserts - proactive puncture protection

Vittoria Gravel Bike Inserts are an issue on which gravelists don’t always agree. Some find a puncture insert in their tire a scary thought, others love them. You will only find out which group you belong to if you try out how your bike feels with a puncture insert. The polymer hoop is compatible with Vittoria's tubeless tires, making your wheels more resistant to bumps and punctures. You can ride with less tire pressure, which ensures better damping and therefore more comfort on long distances. And if the tire does become punctured or in those cases where the sealant fails, you may no longer achieve the top times, but at least you can cycle home. All in all, this is not a not uninteresting concept. The inserts are not only available for gravel tires, you can also fit them to road bikes and MTBs. It's definitely worth a try, isn't it?

Vittoria Bike Park - you can test the tires before you buy!

We certainly agree that every newly developed bike part needs extensive testing. Tubes have to prove in practical tests that they keep what they promise. Airtight, that is. And a tyre should also be put through its paces, and get tested for grip and abrasion under authentic conditions. Does that mean that a manufacturer has to travel around the world with the new tires and inner tubes and test alpine descents, legendary cobblestones or different tarmacs? That would be one possibility. The other option is to bring the testing ground to your doorstep. It works like this: There is a bike park right outside Vittoria’s headquarters in Brembate. It has drops, an air bag or a rock garden for MTBs. It also features 72 meters of the infamous cobblestones of Paris-Roubaix and also 72 meters of Roonde van Vlaanderen rocks for road cyclists (hopefully manufactured for the purpose and not dug up on site!). There’s even some gravel for gravel bikes. And the best thing about it: The bike park is not just reserved for Vittoria's developers and engineers. Anyone can buy a ticket and do a few laps. You can also buy the products and have them fitted in the store next door. You can find more information at Vittoria Bike Park.
