The ultimate aero weapon from Zipp is faster than ever thanks to Total System Efficiency technology. With TSE, the 858 NSW Carbon Tubeless Disc-Brake wheelset features a tubeless and hookless rim profile for a seamless tire interface and a huge weight reduction. The 858 gives you the benefits of our deep rims at a weight normally associated with 20mm shallower rims. The internal width of the wheel is 23 mm, which is ideal for running wider tires at lower pressures to reduce rolling resistance. In this way, TSE technology helps you overcome the four obstacles that stand in the way of speed: Wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration losses. The corrugated, 82 mm to 85 mm deep rim shape of the 858 NSW, our patented Sawtooth profile, is our most powerful design for aero efficiency and crosswind stability. The 858 NSW features Zipp's Carbon Internal Reinforcement (CiR), making the rim 10% lighter and just as strong as previous wheels. The result is pure speed, especially for triathletes, time trial specialists and all other speed freaks. And although this wheelset is optimized for tubeless tires, you still have the option of using tubeless tires with inner tubes. The 858 NSW is fastest with a 28 mm tire. In triathlon, wider tubeless tires with lower air pressure are faster while providing a smoother ride so your body is fresher for the run. The disc brakes also provide more reliable speed control and stopping power in all weather conditions. At the heart of the 858 NSW is the Cognition V2 hubset, designed with the Axial Clutch V2 mechanism for faster engagement and reduced friction, as well as improved durability.
